What would you do without clean water?

That is a very hard question to answer after our comfortably long hot shower, with more than enough water to go around for at least 5 more people, and as we sip on our double shot latte or bottled natural spring water.

I ask this question in all seriousness though as there are far more people in this world that do not have the luxury of clean, filtered water, that comes conveniently out of a sink, as we do. The statistics shown in the video below are staggering and a reason alone to want to make a difference for those impacted by water related diseases and deaths all over the world.

That realization is exactly why I am beyond excited to take a trip to the Dominican Republic with Healing Waters next week to see the impact of their mission first hand. I have always wanted to take a mission trip like this, where faith and hope are at the center of the cause and a difference is being made in someone’s life. Healing Waters not only goes into these necessary sites to bring a water-filtration system to their area, but empowers everyone living there, especially the women who are the heartbeat of their families.

I feel so blessed to be apart of this trip and can’t wait to share more about Healing Waters and The Her Initiative that will be a way for you to get involved as well!

Watch the video below for more info on Healing Waters and follow along on IG (@HealingWaters  @DesHartsock @the_her_initiative) for daily pics from the trip!
