Treat Mom to A Mother’s Day Makeover
May 05, 2015
I know I may be biased, but Mother’s Day is WAY up there on the list of the most important dates of the year. Moms should definitely be pampered and spoiled this Sunday!
Your mom gave you life, she listens to all your problems, she used to change your diapers, and most importantly, she will love you more than anyone on the planet ever will. A mother’s love is truly special!
Just for fun this week, I did a mini makeover on my Mom. We ended up joking around the whole time and we had a ton of fun. Trey even makes several appearances in the video since he was feeling left out. haha! I hope everyone wanting to look younger appreciates the tips and tricks that I give. Maybe after watching the video you’ll want to do a mini makeover on YOUR mom!
3 Skincare & Makeup tips for Moms…
1- Always Prep the Skin– Having a great skin care regimen is SO important. You can have luminous, healthy looking skin if you just spend a few minutes a day, morning and night, caring for your skin. I recommend trying the (Reverse) Regimen for sun damage and age spots, or the (Redefine) Regimen for wrinkles. Then, before applying makeup, try using a primer. I love both the Lorac “I’m So Sensitive” primer and the “POREfection” primer to blur fine lines and help the makeup glide on.
2- Drink lots of water– I know it sounds silly, but water flushes the toxins out of your body and it plumps your skin making it look youthful. It makes digestion easier, and you may even naturally lose weight! My mom started drinking lemon water every morning and loves it!
3- Avoid heavy makeup– Sometimes over powdering the face, or applying too many layers of makeup will create the illusion of deep set wrinkles. If the skin is moisturized and dewy, it will look more youthful! Also, dark liquid eyeliner, glitter, and heavy blush are all products that I have noticed to age women. Sometimes less is more!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there!
