This Art Deco Inspired Wedding is the Way to Start the New Year
January 02, 2017
If 2017 is as beautiful as this wedding, then we have a lot to look forward to! With a stunning backdrop of skyscrapers, this twenties inspired wedding was breathtaking on both a macro and micro level. And, with its perfect blend of vintage sparkle and modern touches, it borrowed the best from both the 20’s and 2016! We say yes please to the bride’s sheath dress, the dark pink and red color scheme, and the glamorous venue. Also, one of the bridesmaids is wearing a pantsuit and making it look absolutely fantastic!
Here are our top easy ways to add a bit of the twenties to your wedding day:
Wear a glittery silvery headband. It will go with any gown and add that Gatsby decadence to your style.
Print your paper goods (re: invites, name cards, table numbers) in a retro typeface. Simply google ‘art deco fonts’ and you’ll find tons of options!
Use a dramatic color scheme. Think black and gold or teal and silver. These shades scream Gatsby glam!
Play jazz and have an instructor on hand to teach your guests how to do the Charleston! Before you know it, you’ll have a riproaring party on your hands.
