I am in 2 weddings this year and between Chris and I we have about 5 weddings in total to attend. That calls for a lot of dresses when you think of the rehearsal dinners, bachelorette parties, and bridal showers. Have you ever thought how nice it would be to just rent a bridesmaid dress for the day?

I certainly have! I mean as cliche as the quote ‘you’ll wear it again’ is, there is no way anyone ends up actually wearing their $400 bridesmaid dress they had to get to be in a friend’s wedding ever again.

The solution… Vow to be Chic!

Vow to be Chic is the first business to rent designer bridesmaid dresses. Brides and bridesmaids can choose from brands such as Alvina Valenta, Jim Hjelm, Joanna August, Nicole Miller, Theia and more. The price point ranges from $95-125 (depending on the style) which is a fraction of the price to buy one of the designer dresses!

How it works: They sends the dresses out a few months before hand to determine the size and fit of each girl. The girls then receive the dresses again one week before the wedding. They’ll also receive packaging and pre-paid shipping labels so they can easily return the gowns after the wedding (no cleaning necessary!).

The company was started by 2 women who, after being in multiple weddings, decided it was time for the bridesmaids to have a great rental option. After all, the groomsmen get to rent attire for every wedding! Now we can!
