Would you ever wear bright red lipstick? What about neon purple or hot pink? There are so many fun lipstick shades nowadays, but some people can’t even see themselves wearing lipstick at all. That was me a few years ago. Chapstick or colored lip gloss was about as dramatic as I would go.

Then I got really serious about being a makeup artist. I wanted to go outside the box and really transform my clients. I needed something longer lasting than gloss and something more dramatic than chapstick.  I got my MAC card (discount on makeup) and I started stocking up on lip colors. The first shades I purchased were nude shades. I realized that applying lipstick even if it was only a shade darker than my natural lip color made my entire face look more “complete” and it made my lips appear fuller!

If you are a newbie like I was a few years ago, and are looking to dive in to longer lasting and more “mature” makeup, finding a great nude lip is a great place to start! Or if you are already a pro, I created a lip tutorial for you all on how to make your lips appear fuller and 2 different nude lip options. Just like contouring the face makes it look a different shape, contouring the lips and highlighting and darkening certain areas, makes the lips look like a different shape. I hope you all enjoy my video and don’t forget to check out the products I used listed below!
