I’ll admit, one of my least favorite parts to train are my abdominals. Not for any particular reason… For me it’s boring and it’s painful.

These are some of the reasons why I don’t believe in following the same routine week after week. You get burnt out, you get bored, and your body adapts to the same things. Everybody has abs, but keep in mind that the way they look and how toned they are can also be affected by genetics. Some of us can spend hours training our abs for desired results while others can train with less effort on the same muscle group. The goal is to reach our personal best potential.

With that being said, here is a quick routine to tone up your core:

Swiss Ball Pikes

Hanging Leg Raises

Reverse Crunches

Do this routine 3-4 times with as many reps as you can do.

Now that we’ve worked these babies out, please hear me out. ABS ARE MADE IN THE KITCHEN! Cliché, I know. However, it could not be more true. It doesn’t matter how many times you perform these core exercises or how long you run on the treadmill, your abs will never make their grand appearance unless you clean up your diet and shed the layer of fat that covers them.

Come back next week as I share more workouts to get toned!
