Hi there! I’m excited to be here on Desiree’s blog today to share some fall entertaining ideas. This berry-hued inspiration shoot is one of my favorites to date and it’s the perfect palette to slowly ease us into fall. How can we already be in September?!

I had so much fun finally incorporating a rich hue of purple into our tabletop and overall palette. (It’s my favorite color!) The shoot was our editorial for The Bloom Workshop, so we made sure to include tons of drool-worthy details so our guests would have many things to practice photographing.

With the most perfect china and furniture rentals, Southern Vintage totally outdid themselves. The most stunning floral arrangements by Lindsay Coletta are center stage, and truly pull the design concept together. The lovely backdrop of Vinewood Plantation is completely stunning! It was the most beautiful setting, we couldn’t have imagined it any other place. Finally, the cake table…just scroll down and feast your eyes on that for a while. There are no words! Blooming Flour Bakery floored us in the best way possible. After the shoot, the attendees were able to indulge in all those desserts and I’m happy to inform you they were just as yummy as they were beautiful 🙂

When I design a tablescape for a shoot, I start with a color palette, find a unique item or two for inspiration, and then start pulling the larger details together. For us, we knew we wanted a purple and berry palette, as it was perfect for fall. We also knew we wanted to include vintage details because of the outdoor venue. The dessert bar would be our main focal point, so we set it up right in front of the barn curtains for a dramatic effect. I think one thing that made the dessert bar so successful was the way we added height and layered items on the table.
