Happy Sunday!

I hope that you have enjoyed my weekly devotional thus far and look forward to coming back each week. If you are just starting my devotional, then WELCOME! Feel free to go back to read the past weeks or continue on from here for a positive start to your week. Learn why I started these devotionals over on WEEK 1.

Each week will include a message, verse, question, and action to keep at the forefront of your mind and get you through the week on an uplifted note.

WEEK 11:

The unthinkable acts that took place in Paris this week have brought a mix of emotions as we mourn for those lost and come together as a united front to battle the evil in this world. While many nations in the world are in combat with each other, there are also personal battles that we all face day after day.

Troubles and struggles in our lives often seem like mountains to overcome. We can only see the height of the problem or the hurt upon our heart.  Once our personal mountains can be worked through and hiked over, a new day with new blessings awaits us on the other side. The only way we can get past stress, anxiety, hurt and struggle is to rely on God and trust that He has a plan for us far greater than we can imagine. When sadness or fear fills our hearts our perspective on hope shifts to the shadows and our focus lies only on our pain. When the world feels like it is crashing underneath of you, do not allow yourself to fall into the trap and feel defeated. God has grace, peace, love and blessings in store for you and will help you through.

If you are feeling overwhelmed or sad today, pray for God to guide and place peace in your heart regarding the situation. The darkness of struggle will try to bring you down every chance it gets but overcome it with prayer and unstoppable hope. Our father will never forsake us so what looks like a mighty hurdle to get over will in time become a blessing in disguise. The BEST is yet to come! 😉

VERSE: But as it is written, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love him. 1 Corinthians 2:9 (ISV)

Am I going through a struggle or have pain on my heart and need to ask God for help?

Set your heart on the hope and shift your perspective to the joys of tomorrow… not the hurt of today. Pray for help and see what God is trying to show you to overcome any obstacle your going through.

  • What a timely devotion to write about. It’s nice to not forget about the things we’re personally struggling with even when the world is experiencing chaos all around us.

I also love the bible verse and the “best is yet to come” outlook- I’ve been needing to hear something like this & to refocus on Jesus! Thank you!!
