Reflect for a second on what Proverbs 18:10 is saying. Solomon is painting us an image of who God is, showing the magnitude of His love. Life doesn’t always go the way we want it to and in those times of stress, hurt, or pain, God is our strength, our provider, our comfort, and our safety. He does not want to see us scared or lost or broken. He wants to keep us safe from harm and be the strong tower we run to.

In many times of stress we turn to food, to pills, alcohol, negative friends, or past behaviors. Often times turning to material items or patterned behaviors can cause more stress on our lives than what we began with. God is telling us to turn to Him regardless of the fear, doubt, guilt, or hesitation we may feel. To see Him as our comfort, our joy, our safety, and our strength.  He will not turn from you but will stand strong as a tower waiting for you to run to Him. In His arms, He will keep you safe.

Whatever you may be going through in your life right now, nothing is larger than God. His love and power will sustain you and bring you the peace you need.  All you have to do today is ask, pray, and turn to Him.

This is one of my favorite Proverbs. Currently I have been struggling with my self-esteem in my personal life. I experienced something yesterday that made me feel invisible and not wanted.

This is a great verse to share, thank you. It’s “funny” how you stumble upon the right articles or posts to get you through the tough times, I needed this tonight. Please pray for my negative behavior and thinking. Bad habits die hard. 🙁
