Given that today is Father’s Day, I would like to honor both my earthly father who raised me, as well as my heavenly father who created me. It may be hard for many to see God as a father, but that’s exactly who He is. He is the most perfect father of all. He loves unconditionally, doesn’t make mistakes, doesn’t give up or neglect, and doesn’t leave us nor forsake us.

If you grew up without a father or maybe not the best example of a father than there may be a void that is missing or a hurt that lies deep within. This hurt can make one feel that God will be the same way and therefore a distance is placed between yourself and your faith in God. It’s a common feeling in society today,  but I hope that many will see that God’s love and His grace are everlasting and that no matter the example you may have had of a father, God is here to make it right and to be your father. He is always there acting as a father so turn to Him for that fatherly advice, guidance, and love.

Scripture for encouragement and reference:

Psalm 68:5-6

Matthew 6:9-13

1 John 3:1

Ephesians 4:6

Isaiah 64:8

Happy Father’s Day to my loving dads!
