Today I am sharing with you how to make a cleansing and detoxifying Green Slushy, which is a recipe from the Healthy Grocery Girl Nutrition Plan Member Site. I love this slushy in the afternoon as a pick-me up and it’s full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. It is also hydrating and refreshing which is the perfect treat during Des and Jackie’s Bikini Boot Camp.

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup of fresh greens (spinach, arugula and / or kale)

1 medium apple, cored and sliced

1/2 fresh lemon, juiced

1/2 cucumber, sliced

1 cup of coconut water

1 cup of ice

1 teaspoon of fresh ginger *optional

DIRECTIONS: 

Wash all produce

Add all ingredients into a high-speed blender

Blend on high for 20-30 seconds

Enjoy!
