Welcome back da da dah dah dah! You know – like the song?!

This is Chris’s Corner and I apologize for not coming to you last week, but hey things happen. I know you all think I will be writing about the recent finale…I’ll give you my two cents then talk to you about something else!

I am very excited for Andi. She seems like she is in love and very happy with Josh! That is great! How could I not be supportive? After all, he is a fellow baseball player right?! As for Nick. While I don’t condone some of the behaviors, I do feel bad for the guy. He seemed very heartbroken and needed closure. I get that 100%. This show does not offer that closure like dating in our everyday lives do. Is that a good thing? I don’t know. But, you sign up for something ‘out of this world’ so maybe expect ‘out of this world’ events? Hopefully he will be able to move on and grow from it like we all do from previous relationships.

Enough said. Let’s see if I can keep your attention with this next topic!

You all know that Des and I are engaged right? And you all know what that means…REGISTRY! Recently, Des and I have been working on putting together a registry and while I may not be the expert at registries, I sure am an expert at accepting gifts. haha. But seriously, as we go through and “sign up” for things we would like to have gifted to us I wonder what people on the other end are thinking? I’ve been there before and love the fact that all I have to do is go to a website to pick out a gift that I know the other person will like, but where is the creativity? I guess if you have everyone getting all crazy with creativity you could have a whole house full of random tapestry right?

If you were about to get married and had one gift you wanted to ask for what would it be?! Let me know and maybe I’ll ask for it haha.

Well I hope you have a great weekend and are getting excited for Bachelor in Paradise! I know I am. After all, we may or may not have been a part of it…winky face.

Until next week,

Chris (and his corner)!

I think Chris meant ‘closure’ not ‘closer’?? Just an FYI πŸ™‚

I was reading Chris’s corner and I don’t see any word ” closer” . He used closure. Chris is so politically correct and a real nice guy. Chris is so lucky to have him, & vice versa

What I was about to say is Des is so lucky to have him. Scruff looks good on Chris. Very handsome

That’s because it has since been corrected πŸ™‚

Registry… you know, I took time out of my very busy schedule to create a gift registry so people would know what to get for us as we started-out life together. In the end, only 2 people out of almost 300 actually bought something off my registry. They all purchased things on their own, gave white elephants, or cash. I even got a set of gaudy Coca-Cola glasses, which, when I returned them at Meijer, I got $6 back. Truthfully, I was thrilled to have something back at all, because most of the gifts just weren’t something I could even use. Most sat in boxes waiting to be useful for 20 years before I finally decided they had been lonely for too long and needed new homes. In the meantime, I had two each of a dish, a bowl, and a cup from the serving set I really loved and had hoped to get, but couldn’t afford on my own. The blender I asked for… never even got that. Imagine that. I thought that was standard wedding-gift fodder, and that was the one gift I thought I didn’t have to worry about not getting. I needed a blender. My advice: Make the registry simple, but don’t expect many people to actually use it. Instead, have a sense of humor and enjoy the mystery of what’s to come instead. After all, there’s no gift wrapped in white that could possibly match the magic of the One who’s on your arm.

Nicely said! I especially love the last part at the end πŸ˜‰

ask for games! And fun things you never feel like buying for yourself. People love buying things out of the ordinary so give them something out of the ordinary! No one gets excited about buying silverware… πŸ˜‰

So excited to hear the planning for the wedding. The only thing we as fans wanted to hear is the wedding date. I want a Saladmaster cooking set.
