“Cuz I’m happy, clap along if you feel…” like heading over to Chris’s Corner. You made it!

Hey Everyone! Welcome back to my corner. I am jumping straight to the point this week. I think you will appreciate that this time. No funnies at the beginning. No backward corners. No backseat corners games. Just right to the point.

I have so much news to share with you, but first let’s talk about the most important part about getting married…the Honeymoon! Ha ha! Well it all depends on how you prioritize your wedding, but I do know some people who put a lot of weight on the honeymoon side of getting married – especially if you are…

Anyway. To be completely honest, Des and I have talked about this quite a bit, I just can’t remember where we want to go! I know we’ve mentioned Bora Bora, places in the Caribbean, Europe, Hawaii (Des hasn’t ever been!), etc. My question to you Chris’s Corner nation is this: Why don’t we ever talk about having our honeymoon in the states? Why does it always have to be a destination outside of the 48′s? There are some beautiful places here that I have never seen and would like to go sometime. Buuuuut it is usually frowned upon when you stay local, unless it is Hawaii! I would totally go to Hawaii for my/our honeymoon. All I know is that when it comes time for the big day…the first day of the honeymoon, I am completely unplugging from reality – except Instagram because that would be ridiculous – and going off the grid. Did you know I went completely off the grid when filming for the Bachelorette? I had no idea what was going on in the world for about 10 straight weeks and loved it. Not that I don’t care, but I’ve never, ever unplugged like that. It is rather liberating. Try it, but keep IG. duh.

What are your thoughts? Where would you like to go on your dream honeymoon? Where should Des and I go? Let us know on twitter and all those other social media sites so that we can start brainstorming and hearing what you have to say.

I have some other exciting news. I am about to make a career change for the better and I want to share it with you. As of May 1st I will be working for myself as a Mortgage Consultant (Loan Officer). Don’t worry! I am still going to be at the same place, but I will be working on my own now. Thank you for being interested and listening to me. This is going to bring a whole new twist to my online presence and presence in Seattle! I am in the beginning stages of finalizing my website and will keep you posted! Exciting times everyone. Very exciting times.

Anyway. Like always, thank you for listening to me ramble. I guess you choose to read this so you must like hearing/reading it right?!

Chris Siegfried over and out!

My fiance and I are also currently planning our wedding, and honestly the honeymoon planning has been the most stressful part!! Ironic, huh? The reason is because we are just being really indecisive. Every beach and island starts to blur and look the same after awhile. That, and the type of exotic honeymoon we would like to have appears to be way out of our budget. We are thinking Florida, but you’re right, people really seem judgemental when you say you want to stay in the States. At the end of the day you need to do what works for you and not worry what other people have to say. We still can’t make up our minds, though!
