God bless the brave men and women who have or do fight for our country, and the families who have lost loved ones in battle. I have been inspired to bring light to a cause for military brides after watching ‘The Lone Survivor’ last night. The intense bootcamp shown in the beginning, to the gun fights in battle, and the brotherhood shown amongst the soldiers puts life in a different perspective.  Soldiers don’t know what each day will bring but they are determined to do all they can to fight for our country and to survive battle so they can be reunited with their wives, girlfriends, fiancées, kids, and family. It is important not to let soldiers AND their families be forgotten.

While working at a bridal salon in Beverly Hills I was introduced to a cause that partners with bridal salons across America to give away free gowns to military brides in support of our troops and as a thank you for serving. Many times military brides don’t get to have the wedding of their dreams due to their fiancés or themselves getting deployed. Heidi Jansen, the founder of Brides Across America felt inspired to start this national charitable organization to help troops that are fighting for our country get the wedding they deserve. You can find out where these events are taking place this year at www.bridesacrossamerica.com.
