Red, White and Blue for Fourth of July with the Family

This Fourth of July, I’m all about sun-warmed shoulders, bare feet, and strawberry kisses from Asher! Our little family will be hanging out on the porch and, since he’s a guy with places to go, Asher will be in his Bright Starts Walk-About-Walker. This item is awesome because it gives him mobility AND interactive toys to play with when he wants a little break. It engages his inquisitive side (man, is this kid curious! He’s so fascinated by the world around him!) and is a great way for him to cruise around and enjoy the festivities!

While Asher hangs out in his walker, you’ll find me in this off-the-shoulder Free People Sweet Dreams Lace Crop Top from Zappos. Its a universally flattering cut–everyone has pretty shoulders and it elongates the neck while still being casual and boho. Also, it’s a great way to get that “crop top” look without actually baring your midriff! I’ll be pairing it with blue denim shorts and a red lip to get that patriotic color scheme (in the spirit of the day, I’ll opt for a bright red shade but you can tweak this for your skin color) and finishing it all off with some sunglasses, earrings, and simple ponytail. I love this cute yet comfy style because I know I’ll wear it again on a coffee date with Chris or to a picnic in the park. If you’d like to see some more similar looks, scroll to the bottom of the post to see my other July must-haves! And be sure to show me how you do summer style by using the hashtag #DHstyle!
