There’s no other season like Spring to inspire the senses… and the wardrobe. Coming off of a cooler season bundled up in layers can leave one unsure and intimated to show off a little more skin. This is where I come in. With years of bridal styling and design experience I’ve helped women of all shapes and ages find dresses to suite their every need and why I’m so excited for this new series of posts to help you flatter your figure in all the right ways.
Have a Spring wedding to attend? Match up your shape with one of the lovely ladies below with a look that will be sure to brighten up your season!
Dress: Rent The Runway
Why I Chose it: For starters, a beautiful royal blue is the perfect transition color from Winter to Spring. Not to mention, this royal color looks great on all skin tones. The lace and texture of this particular style, broken up by a solid waistband helps emphasize Jordan’s small waist while the higher neckline with pretty detail takes the focus away from her bottom half to balance out her overall shape. The A-line skirt flows effortlessly from the waist to minimize her hips and thighs.
Dress: Rent The Runway
Why I Chose it: A nice shift flatters the midsection in wondrous ways when worn for the right shape, such as Krissy’s. Add a pretty print to a shift dress, like this style, for a chic and slimmer look. The neckline and diagonal detail across the midsection are an added bonus that flatter Krissy’s shape even more.
Why I Chose it: Danie’s hourglass shape should always be emphasized with a detail or style that cinches the waist to showcase her smallest part. This ethereal design with the hi-lo hemline trims her bottom half while visually balancing out the top half with that beautiful triangle high neckline. The overall look and color is perfect for a Spring wedding and comfortable along her curves for any special occasion.
Dress: Free People
Why I Chose it: Gaylin is all but 5 feet tall but you wouldn’t know that with this style. The high neckline and lace detail bring your eye up towards her beautiful face, rather than focusing on her height, and elongate her figure as a whole. The length of the hem hits her at a really great spot which also helps give her height. I LOVE this dress and want to wear it to every event coming up!
Dress: Forever 21
Why I Chose it: What a flattering and wonderful style for Natasha’s shape! The neckline on this dress fits her flawlessly and flatters her larger bust in a classy but flirty way. The pleated skirt flatters the midsection and the A-line silhouette adds to her hourglass shape. The floral print and color make this a really great transition dress that works so well for a Spring wedding.
Dress: Pink Blush
Why I Chose it: Aside from having the perfect bump, this style and print is perfect for Sara, as the expecting wedding guest. The print and stretchy material adds comfort and class to a pregnant shape while still offering style- that can so often be hard to find in maternity dresses. The navy color and print is flattering and appropriate for the change of seasons.
