This Fourth of July Wedding is Perfectly Preppy + Patriotic

Douin_Dugger_Jill_Gum_Photography_LisaMichaelPublishing31_low[1]Ready for some major Fourth of July vibes? This preppy wedding is casual yet chic and oh-so-patriotic. We are loving the gold and navy color scheme–and those strong dashes of red. If your wedding is in summer, take note! This affair is loaded with perfect-for-July inspiration, from the mismatched bridesmaids dresses to the striped straws–and be sure to scroll to the end to check out the bride and groom’s special surprise: a “fireworks” show, of course!

Host your wedding in a backyard, park, or tent

Attire your ladies in short, breezy dresses and keep the guys in khaki

Display your wedding programs in woven baskets or rustic tins

Set up seated areas for cocktail hour but include some colorful picnic blankets for guests to lounge on

Serve hard lemonade in bottles with custom labels or monograms

Place sunflowers, daisies, or other summery flowers in colorful glass vases for easy centerpieces

Keep dessert casual. Think pies or naked cakes.

String lights over the dance floor and hand out out sparklers for nighttime fun. Set aside jars for firefly catching–your guests will love reliving their childhoods!
