The Best Bridal Hair Trends for 2016

BRIDE / FEATURED / HAIR / PLANNING / STYLE

With spring in full effect, that means wedding season has begun! And with weddings, comes a lot of bridal hair. Or at least the hunt for the perfect hairstyle begins on Pinterest. I decided to dedicate this entire post to my new favorite trends for wedding hair. Whether you are the bride, bridesmaid, MOB, MOG, guest, or flower girl, this is your go to hair guide for the 2016 Wedding Season.

A Whimsical Upstyle & Floating Florals

Seen on the models for Carolina Herrera, this perfectly imperfect upstyle is just what I love to see on brides for this spring. Soft around the face, and just the right amount of whispies hanging out- this updo is flattering on almost any face shape. Plus, I am just loving the white floral accessories!

Boho Bend & Headbands

Love the beachy waves? Don’t worry those aren’t going anywhere. We’re just adding a different take on the wave. Seen on the models wearing Jenny Packham. This time, more of just a slight bend in the midsection, less curl at the roots and ends. Add a sleek center part, and dress it up with a beaded headband. Headbands are making quite the comeback might I add.

Polished Chignon

For the girls who want a more structured/sleek look this is your style! Seen on a model wearing a Monique Lhuillier dress, this chignon was a total show stopper. What I love about this look is that it isn’t the standard chignon we have been seeing over and over again in bridal. Creating a clean twisted bun creates a way more intricate bridal ‘do!

And last, but of course not least..

Ponytail Braid

My two favorite styles combined into one! Because who said you couldn’t rock a ponytail on your wedding day? And of course the ever so popular braid trend. This year we still will be seeing them, however they will be a bit more simple rather than the overstated braids we saw last year. I especially love this style because it gives an up-style vibe, yet caters to us ponytail lovers.

Remember ladies, when choosing your wedding hair stick to what you are somewhat comfortable with. Your wedding day is not the day to be overly adventurous and daring with a new hairstyle!
