How to Choose a Location for Your Engagement Photos

Congratulations on your engagement! Now that you have a brand new sparkly ring on your finger you can begin to plan out your engagement photos. Engagement photos are a great way to commemorate this special moment in your lives and test out a potential photographer for your wedding day while you’re at it.

One of the first things to consider for your engagement photos is the location. Is there a space or favorite spot that is meaningful to your relationship or signifies a special moment in your lives? Choosing a location that is a favorite date spot, memory together or a personal space you both enjoy will allow you to be more comfortable during the photo session. This will also make the photos more natural and candid. Another thing to consider when choosing a location is the season and style of your wedding.

Will you be getting married outdoors with a rustic theme? A similar setting for your engagement photos will set the tone right for the rest of your wedding details. Take Monique and Justin’s beautiful engagement photos for instance. They look right at home enjoying a lovely walk with their dogs.
