Candlelit Venetian Grand Canal Wedding

They say Venice is for lovers and the proof can be found in these awe-inspiring photos! Kay and Chad’s destination wedding was held in a 19th century palace on the Grand Canal and nothing–not even a surprise thunderstorm–could detract from the romance of the day. Though plans had to be revamped (the previously outdoor reception was quickly moved inside), the results were awe inspiring. Tables lined with candelabras, tea candles, and displays of peonies, green hydrangeas, and blue Agapanthus immersed guests into an Italian wonderland inspired by days past. Traditional Venetian food was served for dinner and, after the rain stopped, everyone went to the garden for the cake cutting and dancing.

Kay and Chad’s three daughters also participated in the wedding, making it a time to celebrate life’s greatest gifts: family, beauty, and special times together in faraway places!
