Contouring used to be the latest greatest thing, but now people are raving over strobing! So what is “strobing” exactly?! While contouring focuses on creating shadows to the face, strobing focuses on illuminating areas of the face. When strobing you should apply a highlighter where the light naturally hits your face.
You want your brow bone, cheekbones, inner corners of the eyes, bridge of the nose, cupids bow, and chin to be illuminated. Strobing is great for summer especially since it gives the skin a radiant, fresh look. Contouring sometimes forces you to apply layers and layers of makeup, whereas strobing feels much lighter if you apply a small amount of highlighter or product.
I hope you enjoy this tutorial and message me with any questions you may have!
Until next time!
