An Afternoon at Pike Place Market

This past weekend was absolutely gorgeous in Seattle. We had bluebird skies and temperatures that hit the 70’s. So, I decided to get out into the city and spend an afternoon at the famous Pike Place Market. It was just too perfect of a day to not share.

One of my favorite things to do at Pike Place Market is to buy flowers. The Tulip season was a little early this year in the PNW, but the Market still had plenty of beautiful bouquets to choose from, the only challenge was picking just one to take home with me!

The famous Seattle Gum Wall is also located at Pike Place Market, so of course I had to contribute! A little gross, but why not?

The “Original Starbucks” is right in the heart of Pike Place Market. I caught it on a quiet afternoon, usually the line extends way past the front door.

Obviously, it was the perfect day to visit one of my favorite Seattle spots. I am so glad that I was able to hop down and enjoy it.

What a fun outing! Super cute outfit as well. I think it’s really fun to play tourist in the Bay Area and visit the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero in San Francisco on a gorgeous day as well.

That sounds lovely! There’s so much to see if we do play tourist in our own cities! Can’t wait to visit San Fran soon.

Grand Marais Minnesota – voted America’s Coolest Small Town in 2015 – playing tourist is easy to do! I’d enjoy the beautiful outdoors by hiking or skiing on the Gunflint Trail. Hike out to the lighthouse on Artist’s Point, shop at the Lake Superior Trading Post, eat a skizzle at World’s Best Doughnut Shop, learn how to turn a bowl or make homemade pasta at North House Folk School, skip rocks on Lake Superior, grab a slice of Uffda pizza at Sven and Ole’s, go moose watching, and so so much more. I love living in Minnesota’s main tourist destination!
