Chris’s Corner: Zappos for Him

Hey everyone!

I have so much to talk to you about I don’t know where to begin!

You may not believe it, but it’s happening! Des and I are getting married soon and I couldn’t be more excited. I finally get to call her my wife and Mrs. Siegfried! Haha. We are excited to share with you in the experience as well, but I hope you are ok with just pictures.

Um, did you watch the Bachelor on Monday?! I think we are in for a great season! Maybe even more drama than Juan Pablos? But “is ok.” Chris the farmer seems to be a great guy. I had the pleasure of hanging out with him last week during the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl. Fast forward to Monday and I was watching him with Jason, Molly and Des along with 150 other Bachelor fans at Lucia in Kirkland! What a great time. If you get a chance, you should stop by for the viewing party every Monday. It’s a great way to spend your Monday nights I think. And you get insider info on the show and our experiences.

Let’s get back to the wedding though. Des and I literally wrapped up all of the planning weeks in advance! How about that?! That doesn’t go without saying that we had a little help though. We are excited to show you everything that has gone into the wedding. From colors, to flowers, to venues to family and friends – it is going to be great! I personally was responsible for a few items for the wedding and had a voice in other parts, then sat back and watched Des work with the rest. One of my pieces was figuring out the most important part – the SHOES! Ha, but really.

I have to be on my feet from about 12pm until 12am and needed to make sure I was going to be comfortable. I also wanted to make sure the groomsmen were going to feel good too, so I kept them in mind. As they say, “look good, feel good, feel good, get married good…” or something like that. As I was trying to figure out what to wear I went on to as I often do for my shoes, and started narrowing down the search. Here are some of the shoes I was considering for the wedding. The first one is what I chose and thanks to, my groomsmen and myself are going to be walking in comfort all day!

#1. Aldo Novake Shoes

#2. Massimo Matteo 5 Eye Cap Toe

#3. Cole Haan Copley Wingtip Derby

The reason I like the Aldo shoe the most is because it has the classy, Oxford look and the detail of a vintage shoe on the top by the laces! Vintage matches our wedding feel and Des’s creativity! I promise I will share with you some pictures from the wedding where you will get to see us guys looking dapper in our new shoes!

That is not all though, I mentioned to you that I go to for my everyday shoes as well. Check out the list below of what I think are great shoes for both a night on the town and just a comfortable fit.2

  1. Florsheim Castellano Wingtip Oxford
  2. John Varvatos Hipster Chuckka
  3. Seavees 12/67 3 Eye Chukka Cigar Pull up
  4. Sperry Top Sider
  5. Converse Chuck Taylor All start

Alright corner readers! Until next time, I hope you have a great weekend and are excited for next week’s episode of the Bachelor! I know I am.
