First off…HAPPY NEW YEAR! I’m so excited that this year I will get the chance to share some of my ideas, tips and favorite fitness products with you guys! So, like always, with the New Year comes new resolutions and goals. Let’s talk about one of the most common resolutions…getting in shape.
For many people this can be a difficult goal to maintain. A month goes by, old routines fall back into place, life gets busy again and we put our goals on the backburner. It’s always easier to say, “I’ll start tomorrow or next week.” Don’t let that be you this year! Here are some tips of mine to stay on track with your weight loss and healthy eating goals:
- Don’t set unrealistic goals. Don’t strive to make it to the gym everyday, or eat healthy meals 100% of the time.
- Plan ahead. On the weekend make a list of foods that you want to add to your daily regimen and make some meals that you can keep in the fridge and grab on your way out the door so that you aren’t swinging through the drive through on a hectic day.
- Don’t panic if you can’t make it to the gym. There are plenty of workouts you can do at home. Check some out on YouTube or stay tuned for some fun tips from muah 😉
- DRINK. MORE. WATER. And make it tasty! Add lemon to your water, mint leaves or berries for a little more flavor.
Remember, don’t be so hard on yourself! Strive for progress, not perfection. You’ll feel great just knowing that you didn’t completely give up on your goals so quickly. Moving forward, I’ll be posting some workout tips for the gym AND at home for you stay at home mommies or those of you who have limited time.
