Our Engagement Photos

Chris & Desiree (5 of 119)

There comes a time in a person’s life where all of the roads traveled lead them to where they are supposed to be. This is where I am. In Chris’s arms, in the middle of a forest, with people watching us take photos, yet we are the only ones there. Chris and I have enjoyed our first year together and with that comes pictures to celebrate where we are in our lives as an engaged couple.

Engagement photos are special in so many ways. They reflect the beginning of two lives together before they are joined in holy matrimony and for that I knew I wanted ours to speak to who we are. Laid back, adventurous, a bit quirky, and (if you can’t tell already) very outdoorsy.  I was lucky enough to have stumbled upon Jodi Botke with Giving Tree Photography and was instantly enwrapped in the artistic yet vintage style of her photos.

Rattlesnake Ledge was the perfect place for our pictures. Although we had to hike about 2 miles to get to the top, the sweat, messy hair, and even rain were worth it all once we set eyes on this majestic view.

Wedding Date TBD. Yes, I know you are dying to see Chris in a nice tux or suit but timing is everything people. And when the time is right you will be the first to know.  Until then make sure to check out Rattlesnake Ledge in Washington because it sure is a sight to see!

Hey Des & Chris, beautiful landscape for a beautiful couple. I commend you for not being pressured into a wedding date, you both need to decide when the time is right for you, no rush… 🙂 Also, I think Chris looks great just as he is, no need to shave…I like a man with a little bit of whiskers, just ask my husband 🙂 I love your outfits Des…I also shop at Forever 21 and got some pretty unique clothes that fit my style too. Congrats to the two of you and thanks for letting us all in to be a part of your lives during this memorable journey. P.S. Can’t wait to check out Rattlesnake Ridge in WA!
