Hiking is one of the best ways to build your endurance and to have a view while you work out.
I will never forget a road trip I took with 5 of my friends from OC to San Francisco over to Napa Valley then to Yosemite. Of course the city and the wine were all amazing but nothing could compare to the majestic beauty of Yosemite. From black bears getting into our food right outside of our tent to an adventurous hike alongside a waterfall, nothing could beat the great outdoors! That hike we took made all of us feel 10x better after all of the wine and cheese we consumed in Napa Valley. There’s something to the simplicity of a hike.
Also while living in LA, I found some really great spots to hike and would try to walk those trails at least twice a week. It wasn’t only a good workout but also a time to reflect and de-stress. Often times I would be inspired while on one of those hikes and that is why I am so fond of being outside in the fresh air. It’s good for the body and the mind.
If you’re the type of person that doesn’t like to go to the gym or be in a class with others around you then step outside and find a trail nearby to hike. You won’t regret it!
