What’s your favorite part about weddings? The food… the dancing? I love all of those things but I find that the personal details each bride puts into her wedding is the most fascinating. A wedding is a time for the bride and groom to bring their lives together for all of their guests to see, and with that comes nostalgic themes and personal touches. Kristen made her wedding day special by adding those personal touches to her autumn wedding.
A bagpiper walks down the aisle after the bride’s father brings her to her groom. The bagpiper was a tribute to her fiancé’s Scottish heritage and was a surprise to her new family and guests. Such a special and personal way to bring both families together by incorporating his family’s heritage.
Kristen and her fiancé Brennan wanted to have a harvest themed wedding as a tribute to the beautiful Autumn weather in Seattle and their favorite season of the year. They kept the harvest theme throughout the wedding including the programs (pictured above) and the color scheme of plum, burgundy, and orange tones.
The color scheme shows nicely on the bridesmaids’ dresses, flowers and umbrellas. See details of attire in the Gallery page.
The rustic feel of the entryway was the perfect initial impression for guests as they made their way into the ceremony, which was beautifully lighted in a dark red barn.
